In Zeiten knapper Produktionsetats, in denen mehr und mehr Musikproduktionen auf Low-Budget-Basis in Heim- oder Projektstudios gefahren und gemischt werden, gewinnt das Mastering auf breiter Basis zunehmend an Bedeutung und Nachfrage.

Viele sind überrascht, wenn ihre Mixes im Autoradio, im Club oder anderswo nicht nur unterschiedlich klingen wie am Mischplatz, sondern oft auch unpräzise, verwaschen, mulmig oder gepresst, wenn sich z. B. bestimmte Mittenfrequenzen gegenseitig beißen oder wenn mangels Tiefen-Frequenzgang der Mix-Abhöre auf gut Glück zuviel reingedrehte Bässe dröhnend die restlichen Frequenzen killen.

Dem kann durch professionelles Mastering abgeholfen werden, in dem ein Paar frische Ohren unvorbelastet an Ihren Mix herangeht und auf Nuancen achtet, die Sie nach tage- oder monatelanger Arbeit am Projekt gar nicht mehr wahrnehmen können.

BOGIE'S YARD HAMBURG bietet digitales rechnerbasiertes Mastering mit Samplitude und dessen internen sowie ggf. weiteren externen Plugins, damit Ihre Mixes überall druckvoll, sauber und brillant klingen.

Wir wechseln bei der Klangbearbeitung zwischen drei verschiedenen Abhören hin und her: den linear eingemessenen Präzisions-Boxen Dynaudio C 2, den Power-Boxen JBL 4311 mit Bässen bis in den Keller, und dem Ghettoblaster Panasonic RX-CT 800, wo sich der Sound auch im Wiedergabe-Nadelöhr bewähren muss. Hinzu kommt noch ein Beyerdynamic DT-660 Kopfhörer, um auch die allerfeinsten Nuancen herauszuhören.

Das wichtigste Instrument beim Mastering sind jedoch die sensiblen Ohren unseres Maestro, seines Zeichens selbst ein in verschiedensten Musikrichtungen bewanderter langjähriger Profi-Musiker und Producer, der jeden Mastering-Einsatz persönlich betreut. Hier ist Ihre Musik bestens aufgehoben.

Bei einem Album ab 10 Tracks sind der 11. und 12. Track gratis. Das Koppeln der Tracks und Brennen auf CD oder Bereitstellen zum Download ist inclusive. Porto für CD-Versand: € 1,45 innerhalb BRD, Ausland auf Anfrage. Bei Bedarf können wir ohne Mehrkosten auch ISRCs (International Standard Recording Codes) vergeben und unsere LC- (Label-Code-)Nummer zur Verfügung stellen.

Ob ein Track 3 oder 10 Minuten lang ist, spielt für den Mastering-Aufwand keine Rolle, solange er durchgängig instrumentiert und gemischt ist. Sollte ein Track jedoch abweichende, separat zu bearbeitende Teile beinhalten (z. B. unterschiedliche Intro oder Mittelteil, mehrere Sätze einer Suite), dann werden diese Teile jeweils als ein weiterer Track berechnet.

In times of tight production budgets, when more and more music productions are run and mixed on a low cost base in home or project studios, mastering is of increasing importance and widespread interest.

Many artists wonder why their mixdowns, while being played on car stereos, in clubs and other places often sound different from the mixing place. This is, they often sound undefined, fatiguing, muddy or heavily squashed, for instance when certain mid frequencies clash, or when lacking the mixing monitors' low frequency range, bass frequencies had been put up and thus dominate the other frequencies.

This can be avoided by professional mastering, when fresh ears approach your mix unprejudiced and care of nuances one would not perceive any more after days or months of working on the project.

BOGIE'S YARD HAMBURG offers digital computer-based mastering with Samplitude and its internal and optional external plugins, so that your mixes can sound more powerful, clean and crisp.

During sound treatment we use three different monitoring systems: the linear calibrated precision boxes Dynaudio C 2, the power-boxes JBL 4311 with bass down to the bottom, and the ghettoblaster Panasonic RX-CT 800, where the sound has to prove through the eye of a needle. Additionally there is a set of Beyer Dynamic DT-660 headphones to detect even the finest sound nuances.

The most important instument in mastering, though, are our maestro's sensitive ears, himself being a longtime professional musician and producer skilled in many musical fields, who is personally looking after each mastering task. So your music is optimally taken care of.

For an album with more than 10 Tracks Track #11 and 12 are free. The lining up of tracks and burning on CD or other media providing for download is inclusive. Postage für CD shipment: € 1.45 within Germany, abroad on request. On demand we also can assign ISRCs (International Standard Recording Codes) and provide our LC (Label-Code-) number without additional costs.
The length of a track doesn't matter for the cost of mastering as long as it's continuously orchestrated and mixed. In case a track contains different parts to edit separately (e. g. differing intro or middle part, several movements of a suite etc.), such parts would be charged as another track each.
